Founded by Aaron D. Jacoves, formerly VP, A&R for A&M Records, Virgin Records & Mercury Records, he signed and/or discovered such bands as:
RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, SOUNDGARDEN, THE BLACK CROWES, JOHN HIATT, TONI CHILDS, DAVID & DAVID, EXTREME, HOODOO GURUS, GEORGE MERRILL & SHANNON RUBICAM (writers of Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody & How Will I Know), ALISON MOORE (nominated for an Oscar for Original Song) and many other Grammy award winning songwriters, producers, & composers. Aaron was also involved in the early development of now superstar BRUNO MARS.
As an executive at A&M he oversaw the soundtrack production of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures, and worked with industry guru, David Anderle on several notable soundtracks including, Ferris Buller's Day Off, Breakfast Club, & Pretty In Pink. Independently, he worked on such films as This Girl's Life, Suicide Kings, and the Robert Altman TV series, GUN (ABC).
